Sum up of what I have read so far for the 2015 reading challenge !!
Mes lectures de Janvier :
A lire !!!

My January readings :
1. A book by an author you’ve never read: The Martian, Andy Weir
Synopsis: Mark Watney was one of the first human to set foot on Mars. He is now convinced he will die there. A sandstorm hit and he and his crew were forced to evacuate, but an incident forced the crew to abandon Mark on Mars. He is alone and forced to fight for his survival. Will he ever go back on Earth alive ?
Mark Watney is a really funny character (after all, he is King of Mars !), I loved this book from the beginning to the very end and I look forward to seeing it adapted with Matt Damon as Mark Watney.
2. A book that came out the year you were born: Mort, Terry Pratchett
Synopsis: Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. After being assured that being dead was not compulsory, Mort accepted. However, he soon found that romantic longings did not mix easily with the responsibilities of being Death’s apprentice…
I am a huge fan of Terry Pratchett so I had to have a book by him in this list. The Discworld is a fascinating universe and Mort is probably my favorite book : DEATH, his daughter (yes, DEATH has a daughter, but she is adopted) and Mort are facinating characters and the story is, as usual, funny, surprising and adventurous !
3. A book with a number in the title : Station Eleven, Emily St John Mandel
As I am still reading this book, I will publish the synopsis and my opinion next month. So far, I love it and it is a big surprise since I chose it randomly and was not convinced at first !
See you next month !
