Les tricots de l’été #1 – Juliet Tee / Summer knitting #1 – Juliet Tee

Cela fait plus d’un mois que je n’ai pas posté, mais je ne suis pas restée sans rien faire ! J’ai tricoté (pas mal), et je suis partie en vacances en Irlande (article à venir prochainement, une fois que j’aurai trié mes 2000 photos).

J’ai pris le temps de me tricoter un top pour moi toute seule, parce qu’après tout, au final, on ne tricote surtout pour les autres, rarement pour nous ! Une de mes amies voulait de la laine de chez We Are Knitters, et moi, je voulais le patron du Juliet Tee, on s’est donc arrangées et j’ai pu tricoter mon top de l’été assez rapidement.

It has been a month since I last posted an article here, but it doesn’t mean that I forgot about you or that I haven’t been busy (I have knitted A LOT). I just didn’t have much time to write, and then I went to Ireland (article to follow, with pictures of a very sunny Ireland).

I decided that, for once, I would knit something for myself. We don’t knit that often for ourselves, us knitters, so it felt good just to wear something I have just made for myself! One of my friends wanted yarn from We Are Knitters and I just wanted the pattern of their Juliet Tee, so we agreed to place a common order. And I could finally knit – quickly- my Juliet Tee.

J’avais déjà choisi la laine : de la laine de chez Plucky Knitter, mérino-cachemire coloris Milky Maid pour l’encolure, et de la laine de chez Lilou en mérino, Arlequin, que j’ai acheté il y a une petit moment.

I chose the yarn long ago : The Plucky Knitter merino and cashemire yarn and Lilou’s merino yarn I bought some time ago. Here is a close up on the Arlequin (from Lilou) knitted:

Au final, un tricot assez rapide, un patron pas trop mal écrit et un top qui m’a pas mal servi en Irlande (photos un peu plus tard dans la semaine, promis!).

And finally, the result below! I knitted it very quickly, and I was glad I could wear it in Ireland (it was sunny yes but not that hot).
